What is the Web of Wyrd Hall?

At Web of Wyrd, we formed a hall to allow folks to find their own way though being heathen. To gather with folks and celebrate life here on Midgard. We are also want to educate. Both on the spiritual and even social levels of being Heathen. We are doing this in two separate, but at the same to together parts. The first is our "religious" and social hall. Our Kindred. We meet bi-monthly in person and monthly virtually. We feast, hold blot for our gods, visit and enjoy each other's company. The second part is we plan on an education program for being a Goði or Gyðja.

Not a program to ordain, not a program to train or mold someone in OUR image of a Goði or Gyðja. A program that helps learn the basics of what the job entails. background knowledge on the Eddas and Saga's. Not a course of memorization. But being able to research, to find and to apply.

One thing we want to stress is as a Goði or Gyðja, it is not OUR job to interpret what the lore says. For the most part, it is pretty clear. Our jobs as Goði's or Gyðja's is to teach how to apply the advice of the lore in our 21st century lives. Not twist it to suit a particular purpose. We see enough of that not only in our faith but in most others. We as a group CANNOT make someone a Goði or Gyðja. We give you the tools. It's up to the gods to decide if you make the cut.

We agree there is no right nor wrong way to worship the gods. But we also believe that only they, the gods and goddesses can decide on who is heathen. We unite to honor Norse gods, connect with our ancestors, and foster a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to the values of forn sidr.
